'Harry Potter' actor Simon Fisher-Becker dies at age 63

British actor Simon Fisher-Becker, popularly known for his roles in the Harry Potter franchise and Doctor Who series, has died at the age of 63.
His husband Tony and his agent Kim Barry from Jaffrey Management have confirmed the news.
According to Metro, Barry said he was deeply saddened, "Today I lost not only a client in Simon Fisher-Becker but a close personal friend of 15 years."
The cause of death has not been revealed.

Barry fondly recalled how he offered Fisher-Becker the part of Dorium Maldovar in BBC's Doctor Who.
The agent added, "I shall never forget the phone call I made to him when he was offered the part of Dorium Maldovar in BBC's Doctor Who."

Fisher-Becker's remarkable career and contributions
Fisher-Becker's most notable appearance was as the Fat Friar ghost in the 2001 movie Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. His character was Hufflepuff House's resident ghost in the film.
Besides this, Fisher-Becker was also known for playing Dorium Maldovar in Seasons 5 and 6 of Doctor Who. He reprised the role in the podcast series Doctor Who: The Eleventh Doctor Chronicles and Jenny — The Doctor's Daughter.
