Ranveer Singh's 'Simmba' beats 'Bajirao Mastani' at box office
Ranveer Singh's Simmba emerged as a champion at the box office. It has got cash registers ringing even in its third week. The movie, which earned Rs. 20.72cr on opening day, minted Rs. 190.64cr in two weeks. But apart from the fantastic collection, the man of the moment, Ranveer, has another reason to celebrate as Simmba has surpassed lifetime collection of Bajirao Mastani.
'Simmba' maintains stronghold at box office
Simmba became audience's favorite in no time and its stronghold at the box office shows that. The Rohit Shetty directorial entered the coveted Rs. 100 crore club in merely five days and surpassed Rs. 150cr mark a week after its release on December 28, 2018. Simmba refuses to slow down as it is all set to cross Rs. 200cr mark soon.
'Simmba' becomes Ranveer's second highest grosser
2018 proved to be an important year for Ranveer, not only personally but professionally as well. The actor, who started the year with blockbuster Padmaavat, ended 2018 with Simmba. Simmba has emerged as Ranveer's second highest grosser as it surpassed the lifetime collection of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Bajirao Mastani. Also starring Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra, Bajirao Mastani earned Rs. 183.75cr.

Ranveer to become the voice of streets
After winning hearts as Simmba, Ranveer is poised to impress the nation as the voice of streets in Gully Boy. The actor will play the role of a hip-hop singer in the movie and the intriguing teaser got everyone talking. Apart from Gully Boy, Ranveer will also be seen in Karan Johar's multi-starrer project Takht which also features Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal.
