Sidharth Malhotra returns to romance with Dinesh Vijan's next
Bollywood actor Sidharth Malhotra is reportedly set to star in a love story produced by Dinesh Vijan. According to Mid-Day, the actor has been in talks with Vijan's production house for some time and is excited about the project. The yet-to-be-titled film will be directed by Tushar Jalota, who previously helmed the 2022 movie Dasvi.
Malhotra to return to romance genre with Vijan's film
After starring in several action projects such as Mission Majnu (2023), Yodha, and Indian Police Force, Malhotra is reportedly keen to return to the romance genre. "He loved the script and is excited to team up with a banner that is known for bringing modern romances to the screen," a source told the portal. This upcoming project is said to have a unique tone that appealed to him with its "novel tone."
Malhotra's early career marked by romantic comedies
Malhotra's early career was marked by his roles in romantic comedies. He made his acting debut with the 2012 film Student of the Year, which was a campus romance. He also starred in other rom-coms like Hasee Toh Phasee (2014) and Baar Baar Dekho (2016). The actor is now set to revisit this genre with Vijan's upcoming love story. His last release was Dharma Productions's Yodha, co-starring Disha Patani.
