Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani plan new rom-com
Bollywood's beloved duo, Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani, charmed us in the 2021 film Shershaah and we might see them reunite onscreen in a romantic comedy soon. Malhotra, who got married to Advani over a year ago, recently confirmed that the Dharma Productions-backed project, first reported last year, is "very much on the table." In an interview with ETimes, Malhotra stated that they are still finalizing the details of this venture.
'We are very interested in working together'
He emphasized the importance of finding the right script where both actors can "justify our roles." The actor also highlighted the necessity of aligning all elements correctly for a successful project. "We can't say for sure, but we were very interested in working together and finding the correct script combination, where both of us justify our roles." Malhotra acknowledged that there are several exciting projects in his pipeline, but it remains uncertain which one will be launched first.
Malhotra reflected on latest film 'Yodha' and future expectations
Malhotra also discussed his recent film Yodha, which did not perform as well as anticipated at the box office. Despite its lackluster reception, Malhotra stood by the film, stating there is "nothing to process." He expressed pride in choosing projects that meet his standards, asserting that Yodha fulfilled these criteria. The actor portrayed an action hero with "cheekiness" in Yodha and admitted that predicting a film's success is impossible even for industry veterans.
