Sidharth exits Murad Khetani's film just month before shooting: Report
Actor Sidharth Malhotra has reportedly exited an upcoming action drama produced by Murad Khetani due to creative differences, reported Peeping Moon. The film, reportedly tentatively titled Mitti, was to be directed by Balwinder Singh Janjua, and was set to go on floors next month in Uttarakhand. However, sources have revealed that Malhotra backed out over concerns about the script and disagreements with the director. The film's future is now uncertain.
Malhotra's 'unreasonable demands' reportedly also led to film's cancelation
Apart from creative differences, insiders have also cited Malhotra's "unreasonable demands" and tantrums as factors in the film's cancelation. Additionally, the project faced financial hurdles as the makers were unable to secure a studio to back it. This is believed to be due to Malhotra's recent box office failures, which have made producers wary of investing in his projects. His last few theatrical projects were Yodha and Thank God.
Malhotra's career struggles continue
Malhotra's career has been on a downward spiral, with his recent films failing to make an impact at the box office. Despite discussions with several filmmakers over the past six months, none of his projects have reportedly moved forward to the production stage. According to industry buzz, Malhotra's next project could be a romantic comedy produced by Dinesh Vijan and directed by Tushar Jalota. An official confirmation on this is awaited.
