Actor Siddharth Shukla's BMW rams into three cars, booked
Actor Siddharth Shukla was booked by Oshiwara police after his BMW crashed into three cars leaving one injured on Saturday evening in Mumbai. Shukla was driving the luxury vehicle, which mounted over a divider and later had a collision with an electric pole. He was also injured. Shukla is famous for his roles in TV serial 'Balika Vadhu' and movie 'Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania'.
Man injured in accident says actor's car damaged
Shukla's BMW X5 sports utility vehicle met with an accident around 6 PM on Saturday. A man Rajkumar Dube, who was injured in the accident, said Shukla might have lost control of the car. He revealed the actor's car was also damaged. Locals informed Oshiwara police about the accident. The injured were taken to a nearby hospital in Goregaon, reports said.
Was Shukla under influence of alcohol? Police probing angle
Siddharth Shukla's blood sample has been sent for medical examination. "Only after results arrive will we be able to ascertain whether Shukla was under influence. Till now, we have not found any evidence of drink driving," said inspector Shashikant Bhandare of Oshiwara. The officer said the car's airbag didn't open when the crash happened. Shukla was lucky he wasn't grievously injured, police said.
Siddharth Shukla didn't flee, is cooperating with cops
The police registered a case under IPC sections 279 (punishment for rash driving), 336 (punishment for endangering the life of others) and 337 (punishment for causing hurt by endangering personal safety). They also said Shukla didn't flee after the accident and is cooperating in the investigation.
