Shruti Haasan dons producer's hat for 'The Mosquito Philosophy'
Shruti Haasan is starting a new inning as she has opened her own production house - Isidro Media. The first film to come out of her banner will be Jayprakash Radhakrishnan's 'The Mosquito Philosophy'. Radhakrishnan had previously helmed the highly-acclaimed bilingual hostage drama 'Lens' that released in 2015. Here's more.
She could not be more thrilled
Sharing her excitement about collaborating with Radhakrishnan, Shruti said in a statement that it is fantastic to work with someone who is courageous in offering new content that challenges conventional thinking. As she awaits the release of 'The Mosquito Philosophy', she hopes that the film marks the beginning of a long-term working relationship.
Shruti just wants to back engaging content
"Our belief at Isidro is to present extremely interesting, edgy and different kinds of content. It can be content across various formats as long as they further the creative process and make it possible for people to experience world-class storytelling," Shruti said.
'The Mosquito Philosophy' showcases the idea of minimalism
'The Mosquito Philosophy' was shot with just a basic storyline and no scripted dialogues. Talking about the film, Radhakrishnan revealed that it was born out of the quest to showcase a real-life and real-time narrative. "It is an interrogation of a society caught between the throws of tradition and modernity seen through the story of four friends," he said.
