'I'm alive, happy, healthy': Shreyas Talpade shuts down death rumors
Actor Shreyas Talpade recently became the target of a viral death hoax that quickly spread across social media platforms. The actor took to his Instagram to set the record straight in response to the false news. "Dear all...I want to assure everyone that I'm alive, happy, and healthy," Talpade mentioned in his long post, emphasizing the potential emotional impact such misinformation could have on his family, especially his young daughter.
'To the trolls...please stop'
In his lengthy post, Talpade mentioned, "While I understand that humor has its place when it's misused, it can cause real harm." "What may have started as a joke by someone, is now creating unnecessary worry and playing with the emotions of those who care about me, especially my family," his note read. "To the trolls, I have a simple request: please stop. Don't joke around at the cost of others, and don't do this to anyone else."
Talpade's response to the death hoax
Before taking to Instagram, Talpade—in an interview with Zoom—said, "It is unfortunately sad that someone had to create a sad humor out of my health, knowing the history behind it." He added, "I've a daughter who goes to school, and imagine if she reads news like this and gets affected!" "I saw the post...but chose to ignore it. But since then, I've gotten many calls; hence, I will bring it to the public's attention tomorrow with an official statement."
Talpade's health condition and recent heart attack
To recall, Talpade suffered a heart attack in Mumbai on December 14, 2023, while shooting for his upcoming film, Welcome To The Jungle. He underwent an angioplasty at Mumbai's Bellevue Hospital. In a previous interview, the actor suggested that the heart attack could be a side effect of the COVID-19 vaccine. He has since made a deliberate choice to slow down and prioritize his family and health.
