Shraddha Kapoor might headline, co-produce a film with Rahul Mody
Shraddha Kapoor, last seen in the 2023 rom-com Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, has hinted at the progress of her upcoming projects. Earlier this year, she disclosed during a fan interaction that she was working on a mythological adaptation and a time-travel story. Now, per reports, Kapoor has expressed interest in a drama project associated with Rahul Mody, her alleged partner and co-writer of TJMM. If all goes as planned, Kapoor will not only star but also co-produce the film.
Kapoor has reportedly liked the central idea of the project
The specifics of Kapoor's new drama project are yet to be disclosed as the creators have chosen to keep them under wraps. An insider close to the project told Mid-Day, "The talks are in the nascent stage, so it can't be determined whether this will be her next project." "But Shraddha has liked the central idea. She plans to co-produce it along with Rahul's production house."
Kapoor wants to reduce the gap between her films
After a three-year hiatus, Kapoor made a comeback with director Luv Ranjan's romantic comedy, marking her first film since the 2020 action movie Baaghi 2. This year, she aims to continue her successful streak with Stree 2, the sequel to the popular horror comedy Stree (2018). An insider stated, "Stree 2 is one of the year's most-awaited films. Going forward, Shraddha wants to carefully select her projects. She also doesn't want long gaps between her films."
