Ibrahim Khan's 'Diler' moves production to London
The upcoming sports drama Diler, starring Ibrahim Ali Khan, is all set to kick off shooting in London this month. Although the team had briefly thought about shifting the location to Mumbai due to civil unrest in the UK, things have improved now, and they are sticking to their original plan. A source close to the project shared with Mid-Day that director Kunal Deshmukh wasn't too keen on replicating certain aspects of London in Mumbai.
'London is integral to the story...'
A source close to the project shared, "Diler revolves around the life of a marathoner. London is integral to the story, and there is a crucial marathon sequence for which they needed shots of the city." "The makers were not convinced with Mumbai after the recce, and did not want to compromise on their vision. With the condition in the UK having improved, the film will roll there this month."
'Diler' team is already in London
The team behind Diler is currently in London, gearing up for a one-month non-stop shooting spree that will go on till Diwali. They'll be wrapping up with some extra scenes in Mumbai in November. This is Khan's second film after Sarzameen, which also features Kajol, and is awaiting release. Diler will reportedly see Sreeleela opposite Khan. It is bankrolled by Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films.
