Shiva Rajkumar reveals shooting films while undergoing chemotherapy
What's the story
Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar recently opened up about his battle with bladder cancer—all while working on film projects.
He revealed that he has already shot 20-25% of his 131st film and will resume shooting from March 3. He also announced a special appearance in Ram Charan's film RC16.
Rajkumar was diagnosed with the disease and underwent surgery at the Miami Cancer Institute in December.
Despite his health challenges, he remained committed to his work, even during chemotherapy.
Determination
'I was scared when I found out...'
In an interview with Masth Magaa, Rajkumar said he was scared when he found out about his diagnosis.
"I was scared when I found out, as anyone would be," he said in Kannada. "The fear factor is always there, but the question was, what can be done about it? You have to face it. The only question I asked was, 'Can I finish this project? (referring to his Kannada film 45).'"
On-set challenges

Rajkumar also spoke about the physical toll of shooting amid treatment.
He revealed that he would feel fatigued, particularly while shooting for action sequences just two days after a chemotherapy session.
"When you see the climax of 45, you will be shocked, thinking, 'How did Shivanna do this?'...I think God helped me through this."
He also expressed gratitude for the support from his family, the film industry, and his fans.
