'Shehzada' advance booking trends: A disappointing start for Kartik Aaryan
What's the story
Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan who is basking in the glory of his last year's release Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, is all set to entertain his fans with the film Shehzada, hitting theaters on Friday.
The film will clash with the highly-anticipated Ant-Man 3, and the advance booking of both films opened just a few days ago.

After the massive success of Shah Rukh Khan-led Pathaan, all eyes are set on Aaryan's Shehzada and its performance at the box office.

Advance booking
Over 7,000 tickets sold on Day 1 in national chains
The advance ticket booking of Shehzada opened on Saturday evening, just a few days ahead of the release.
As of Wednesday's update, Rohit Dhawan's directorial has sold 7,300 tickets on Day 1 in the three national chains namely PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis.
According to industry trade analysts, Shehzada could sell around 30K tickets at the final roundup in the three national chains.
'Ant-Man 3' numbers
Paul Rudd's 'Ant-Man 3' defeated 'Shehzada' at advance bookings
Paul Rudd's Ant-Man 3, which will be the Marvel Studios's first film in Phase V, is a highly-anticipated movie.
According to Wednesday's update, the film has sold a staggering 57,277 tickets in the national chains, clearly beating Shehzada's advance booking numbers.
As against Ant-Man 3, Shehzada's ticket sales are expected to escalate only with on-the-spot bookings, especially in tier 2 and tier 3 centers.
Grand release
'Shehzada's' grand release on around 3,000 screens
Shehzada was certified U/A by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), with an approved runtime of two hours and 25 minutes.
The film, which marks the reunion of Aaryan and Kriti Sanon after Luka Chuppi, is seeing a grand release on 3,000 screens across the country.
Notably, the film is the official remake of the acclaimed Telugu drama Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo featuring Allu Arjun.
