The photo, which has received over 12 lakh likes in just 15 hours, left people stunned due to the uncanny similarity between the father and the son. Shahid rightly wrote, "Like father like son," in the caption, which many people agreed with.

As soon as the photo went viral, Shahid's brother, Ishaan Khatter reacted, dropping a heart emoji in the comments. Hichki director Siddharth Malhotra said, "I can't make out (difference) at all besides the colors on pics! It's like a xerox copy." Meanwhile, some netizens made it a bit awkward by comparing Zain to Taimur, son of Shahid's ex-girlfriend Kareena Kapoor, and Saif Ali Khan.

While talking about his children on Neha Dhupia's chat show, Shahid vociferously complimented Zain's "good looks." "I'm fanboying him all day. He is way better looking than me. He has got (features from) both of us (Mira and I). He has got sharper features and I think both of them are like a little bit of a mixture of both of us," he said.

While talking about Misha, the 38-year-old actor said that after a long shift, when he'd return home for a good sleep, the toddler would wake him up, asking him to spend time with her. "Misha will wake me up between 7.30-8 am and I've to play with her. it's imperative that I give my children as much time as I give to my work."

On the work front, Shahid's last release, Kabir Singh emerged as the biggest blockbuster of 2019 so far, collecting a stunning Rs. 372.3cr at the box office. It co-starred Kiara Advani. He's however yet to announce his next project, though a remake of Telugu film, Jersey is being planned. For now, Shahid is enjoying his much-needed break, having returned from a Switzerland vacation.
