Shahid's 'Kabir Singh' beats 'Sanju', 'Padmaavat' at the box office
There is no stopping Shahid Kapoor's Kabir Singh, as the movie, in its third week, has maintained its momentum at box office. It has raked in a stupendous total of Rs. 239.97 crore, and has beaten the likes of Sanju and Padmaavat in its third week test. Notably, the film has emerged as the third-highest third Monday grosser after Baahubali 2 and Dangal.
'Kabir Singh,' with its third Monday collection defeats 'Uri,' 'Sanju'
According to Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the movie has been heavily trending on its third Monday, and collected an impressive Rs. 4.25 crore. On their third Mondays, Vicky Kaushal's Uri: The Surgical Strike had collected Rs. 3.43 crore, while Sanju and Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone's Padmaavat collected Rs. 2.81 crore and Rs. 3.20 crore respectively. So clearly Kabir Singh has toppled them all.
'Kabir Singh' may cross lifetime collection of 'Uri'
Adding further, Adarsh mentioned that Kabir Singh, a remake of Arjun Reddy, has emerged as "the 10th highest grossing #Hindi film while #Uri moves to the 11th position." It was predicted that given the steady pace Kabir Singh has maintained so far, it may crush Uri's lifetime collection of Rs. 245.36 crore in its third week. "Kabir Singh is a lottery," Adarsh claims.
