Its confirmed! Shahid Kapoor is 'Arjun Reddy'
What's the story
Shahid Kapoor has confirmed that he is playing the lead role in the Hindi remake of Telugu blockbuster 'Arjun Reddy'.
The reports, regarding the same, were doing the rounds for a few days but an official confirmation was still awaited.
Shahid has also signed a film with 'Airlift' director Raja Krishna Menon.

Details
Shahid was the first and only choice for the film
Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the director of the original version, will also direct the remake too.
Talking about the project, he said, "As an actor, Shahid has no inhibitions. Arjun Reddy is a character with a lot of rage and I think Shahid can convincingly bring it alive. I was clear from the beginning that I wanted to work with him."
On the work front
Shahid will be next seen in 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu'
Shahid had started shooting for Shree Narayan Singh's 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu' earlier this year.
The film also features Shraddha Kapoor and Yami Gautam, and it is slated to release on August 31.
Shahid is also doing a film with Imtiaz Ali but it has been put on the back burner for now.
