Shah Rukh Khan's next to go on floors around July
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has revealed his plans to return to filming later this year, following a brief hiatus. Notably, 2023 marked the resurgence of Khan due to Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki; the first two were remarkable, colossal hits. In a new interview, Khan explained that he aspires to begin shooting for his next project by July or August.
Here's what Khan said about his plans
During his hiatus, Khan has shifted his focus to his Indian Premier League cricket team, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Ahead of their match on Friday, he told Star Sports, "I felt I could rest. I have done three films...they took a lot of physical work also. So I said maybe I'll take some time off." "Fortunately, my shooting is in August or July...we start planning in June," stated Khan in the interview.
The project may be 'King'
Though Khan did not specifically name the project, reports are rife that his next project could be Sujoy Ghosh's King, which will act as the theatrical debut for Khan's daughter Suhana Khan. To recall, Suhana had debuted last year through Zoya Akhtar's The Archies and received mixed reviews for her performance. Now, King might provide her a much-needed starry debut.
What we know about the film's plot
A source earlier told Peeping Moon, "The SRK-Suhana film has undergone multiple rewrites and polishing in the past few months. The project was earlier intended to be a mega theatrical debut vehicle for Suhana, with SRK merely playing a cameo, much like he did in Alia Bhatt's Dear Zindagi." "But the script has now been altered, turning it into a proper Shah Rukh Khan film, with Suhana playing a parallel lead alongside him."
