Shah Rukh Khan may star in 'Stree' director's adventure film
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is reportedly in discussions with director Amar Kaushik and producer Dinesh Vijan for a potential big-budget adventure film. This news comes after the actor's successful 2023, where his three releases—Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki—garnered approximately ₹2,500 crore at the global box office. "SRK has met almost every filmmaker in the last few months... Now, he is in talks with the Stree 2 team of Kaushik and Vijan," revealed a source to Pinkvilla.
Khan's upcoming projects and potential collaborations
The source added that this upcoming film is not a part of the Stree universe. In addition to these discussions, Khan has reportedly confirmed his participation in two action films: King directed by Sujoy Ghosh, and Pathaan 2 from the YRF Spy Universe. "While King is scheduled to go on floors from January-2025, and wrap up by mid-2025, Aditya Chopra is aiming to take Pathaan 2 on floors by the end of 2025/early 2026," the source added.
Khan's search for a non-action film and ongoing discussions
Khan is reportedly seeking to add a third film to his lineup before he begins shooting for King. He is currently reading several scripts, particularly those outside the action genre. Apart from the adventure film, Khan is also reportedly in touch with Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK for their comic action thriller. He has expressed interest in the subject but wants some modifications before committing. Khan is expected to take a final call in the coming months.
