Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has finally made his debut on the 2024 Hurun India Rich List, amassing a staggering wealth of ₹7,300cr at the age of 58. The list, which came out on Thursday, also features other prominent personalities from the entertainment industry, including Juhi Chawla and family, and Hrithik Roshan, who have amassed substantial wealth through their successful ventures in film and entrepreneurship.

Khan's wealth is attributed to his successful ventures—including his ownership of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), the reigning IPL champions, and his film production company, Red Chillies Entertainment. His influence further extends beyond his financial success, as he boasts one of the largest social media following among the Rich List members with an impressive 44.1M X/Twitter followers and 47.4M on Instagram.

Further, Khan's recent films have been pivotal in reviving Bollywood during a challenging period. After a four-year hiatus, he made a triumphant return with Pathaan, which earned ₹543.09cr in India and ₹1,055cr globally. His next release, Jawan, was an even bigger success, raking in ₹640.25cr domestically and ₹1,160cr worldwide. Dunki—directed by Rajkumar Hirani—also performed well, with ₹227cr in India and ₹454cr globally. Notably, Khan secured a spot in Forbes's Top 10 Highest Paid Actors in India for 2024.

Following SRK on the list is actor Chawla, who co-owns Kolkata Knight Riders. Chawla's wealth stands at a whopping ₹4,600cr, securing her the second spot among the silver screen titans. The Krrish actor, Roshan claims the third position with a fortune of ₹2,000cr, bolstered by his successful athleisure brand, HRX. Roshan also ranks second in terms of social media followings, with 32.3M X/Twitter followers.
Bachchan family and Karan Johar are also on the list
The Bachchan family, led by the legendary Amitabh Bachchan, holds the fourth position on the list, with a wealth of ₹1,600cr, primarily derived from investments. Karan Johar, the renowned host, actor, producer, and director, and owner of Dharma Productions, secures the fifth spot on the list with a wealth of ₹1,400cr. The 2024 Hurun India Rich List features the diversity of India's wealth creators, showcasing a record-breaking 1,539 entrants from diverse backgrounds, including family-run businesses, startup founders, and film stars.
