What's the story
Recently, reports stated that Shah Rukh Khan's King, directed by Siddharth Anand, has been delayed and will begin in June.
However, on Friday, Anand reportedly clarified to Bollywood Hungama that the shooting will begin as scheduled in May.
The filming schedules have reportedly been carefully mapped out months in advance.
The movie is expected to hit theaters by late 2026.
Role revelation

The report added that Khan and his daughter Suhana Khan won't be playing a father-daughter pair in King.
Instead, their characters are an assassin and a potential victim he protects from danger, respectively.
Not only does this unexpected character dynamic make things more interesting, but it also adds an intriguing layer to the film's mysterious plot.
Filming update

After the first schedule in May 2025, King will be around 30% complete.
The movie, expected to be a high-octane action thriller, will mark SRK's second collaboration with Anand after their blockbuster Pathaan.
King will be filmed in both India and Europe.
Backed by Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment and Anand's Marflix, it also reportedly stars Abhishek Bachchan.
