What's the story
Netflix has unveiled the trailer for its highly-anticipated crime thriller, Sector 36, starring Vikrant Massey.
The film is a production collaboration between Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films and Jio Studios.
It tells the gripping tale of a police inspector pursuing a cunning serial killer while grappling with the disappearance of several children from a slum in Sector 36.
The narrative is inspired by true events and marks Aditya Nimbalkar's directorial debut.
Character introduction
The trailer introduces Dobriyal's character, Inspector Ram Charan Pandey
The trailer, clocking two minutes and 34 seconds, introduces viewers to Inspector Ram Charan Pandey, portrayed by Deepak Dobriyal.
Pandey is a dedicated family man with a young daughter and a loving wife.
Despite being warned against it, he relentlessly pursues a serial killer.
His mission becomes even more urgent as he races against time to save the lives of missing children from his jurisdiction in Sector 36, including his daughter's.
Antagonist's role
Massey plays the elusive and dangerous Prem Singh
Massey steps into the shoes of the elusive and dangerous Prem Singh, who manages to blend in with society while carrying out his heinous crimes.
This sets the stage for a high-stakes cat-and-mouse chase between Pandey and Singh, adding to the suspense of Sector 36.
Speaking about his challenging role, Massey said, "Stepping into the character of Prem for this film was unlike anything I've done before."

'Sector 36' is set to premiere on Netflix
Sector 36 is scheduled for release on September 13, exclusively on Netflix.
Apart from Massey, and Dobriyal, the film also features actors like Anant Joshi, Shalini Vatsa, and Kanchan Pagare in pivotal roles.
The screenplay has been penned by Nimbalkar and Bhavesh Mandalia. Meanwhile, the music has been composed by Alokananda Dasgupta with cinematography by Anuj Rakesh Dhawan.
The film was earlier screened at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne.
