Just married! Scarlett Johansson ties the knot with Colin Jost
Hollywood actor Scarlett Johansson tied the knot with SNL star Colin Jost over the weekend in an intimate ceremony attended only by immediate family members and close friends, reports said on Friday. The Avengers star had gotten engaged in 2019, after dating Jost for nearly two years. All COVID-19-linked precautions, as underlined by CDC, were followed. We wish them a happy married life.
Charity 'Meals on Wheels America' broke the news
The happy news was first revealed by a charity, Meals on Wheels America. "Their wedding wish is to help make a difference for vulnerable older adults during this difficult time by supporting @mealsonwheelsamerica. Johansson, Jost got engaged in May last year
It is the first marriage for Jost, and the third for Johansson. Johansson was earlier married to actor Ryan Reynolds between 2008 and 2011, and French journalist Romain Dauriac during 2014-2017, with whom she has a 6-year-old daughter Rose. Johansson first met Jost when she was hosting SNL finale in 2017. The couple got engaged in May 2019.
Johansson had spoken about engagement on Ellen's show
Johansson had earlier spoken about her engagement with Jost during her appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. "He did (do it in a romantic way), he killed it. It was a very James Bond situation. It was surprising. He's got a lot behind that (Saturday Night Live) news desk he is hiding," the 35-year-old actor had said.
Johansson has 'Black Widow' coming up next year
Meanwhile, Johansson's highly-anticipated Marvel movie Black Widow is expected to be released in May 2021. She is also known for her performance in films such as Jojo Rabbit and Marriage Story, among others. Jost, on the other hand, recently released his memoir titled A Very Punchable Face: A Memoir, which featured on The New York Times Bestseller list.
