Sara on 'Kedarnath' success: My parents are proud and overwhelmed
Sara Ali Khan has successfully made her debut in Bollywood with Abhishek Kapoor's Kedarnath. The movie, which also stars Sushant Singh Rajput, has opened to rave reviews and got a healthy start at the box office. And as the movie continues to go strong at the box office, Sara is overwhelmed with the response she has received from the audience.

Expressing her gratitude, Sara revealed her mother Amrita Singh is over the moon happy with Kedarnath success. She said that Amrita has been constantly sharing screenshots of the all the reviews she has received. "She was constantly sending me screenshots of all the reviews that had my name in them. Seeing all the love that I am getting, she is ecstatically happy," Sara added.
Sara is happy she made her father proud
Sara mentioned that her father Saif Ali Khan is also quite proud of her successful debut in Bollywood. She stated that it was heartening to find that audience is appreciating her performance. "I think my father is feeling proud because a lot of people are messaging him good things about my performance. It makes it even more special," Sara was quoted as saying.
'Kedarnath' is gaining momentum at box office
Kedarnath has been going strong at the box office. After a healthy start on the first day of release, the movie witnessed a good momentum on its second day. So far, Kedarnath has managed to rake in Rs. 17 crore at the box office. In fact, as per Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the movie is expected to see an upward trend here on.
After 'Kedarnath', Sara is excited for 'Simmba'
After the success of her debut movie Kedarnath, Sara is gearing up for her second release - Simmba. Helmed by Rohit Shetty, the movie features Ranveer Singh in the lead. Sara is all praises for Ranveer's Simmba and said that she is excited about her second release. "I think having had Simmba, especially without Kedarnath releasing. It is very gratifying," she added.
