Sara Ali Khan will romance Ranveer Singh in 'Simmba'
Amid uncertainty over her debut project 'Kedarnath', Sara Ali Khan has been signed as the leading lady of the Ranveer Singh starrer 'Simmba'. The action comedy is being directed by Rohit Shetty and produced by Karan Johar. Interestingly, 'Simmba' is slated to hit the screens on 28 December, a week after the proposed release date of 'Kedarnath' which also stars Sushant Singh Rajput.

Speculations had it that Internet sensation Priya Prakash Varrier or late Sridevi's elder daughter Janhvi Kapoor might star in the cop drama but Sara has toppled them to bag the project. The development will certainly add to the buzz of the film as the audience is keen to see Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh's daughter on the big screen.
Meanwhile, 'Simmba' went on the floors earlier this month
'Simmba' brings together the trio of Karan, Ranveer and Rohit for the first time. Ranveer and Rohit have previously collaborated on an ad campaign. The 'Padmaavat' star will be essaying the role of a notorious cop named Sangram Bhalerao in the film. The first poster was released by the makers some time back.
