What's the story
Sara Ali Khan is the newest sensation in Bollywood. She has taken over the industry with her charm and wit.
And, now in a recent interview, she unleashed her unfiltered self and spoke about her family life.
She shared her feelings over parents Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh's divorce and said that it happened for the best.
Statement
Sara's take on Saif-Amrita's marriage: What were they thinking?
It was in October 1991 that Saif and Amrita got married. Their thirteen year age gap raised a lot of eyebrows, back then.
Recently in an interview, Sara was quizzed if she ever asked her parents about the age gap.
To this, she answered, "I asked both of them what were they thinking? But then if it wasn't for them, I wouldn't be here."
Divorce
Sara dealt with the divorce pretty maturely
To recall, Saif-Amrita called off their 13-year-old marriage in 2004.
While parents' divorce is considered to be quite stressful for children, Sara dealt with it with utmost maturity.
Talking about it, she said, "They're both happy, bindaas and cool people, but individually. Together, they are not. And I think they too realized that. Fortunately, now I have two happy and secure homes to myself".
Why?
Sara on working with her mother: She won't do it
Sara is just two films old and is among the most sought-after newcomers in Bollywood.
In this context, she was recently asked about sharing screen space with her mommy.
Though Sara was quite excited at the thought, she felt that Amrita won't take up the offer.
"I think it'll be like the worst thing for her to work with me," she was quoted saying.
