Sara walks out of 'Love Aaj Kal 2'. Here's why
Sara Ali Khan created a buzz in the town after she was roped in for Imtiaz Ali's Love Aaj Kal 2. The movie also featured Sara's crush Kartik Aaryan in the lead. It was reported that the movie would be her third project after Kedarnath and Simmba. However, according to recent reports, Sara has walked out of Imtiaz's directorial over creative differences. Sara was supposed to romance Kartik in the movie
That Sara has a crush on Kartik is not a secret. In fact, the actress has been quite vocal about her liking for the Luka Chuppi actor. So when Sara was finalized opposite Kartik in Love Aaj Kal 2, the fans got really excited. It was expected that Sara and Kartik would look great together.
But, Sara wasn't happy with the script
Sara and Kartik's pair created a lot of hype around Love Aaj Kal 2 which is the sequel to Saif Ali Khan's 2009 release Love Aaj Kal. However, Sara's recent walkout left the fans disheartened. It was reported that while Sara was keen to be a part of this movie, she wasn't impressed with the script. As a result, she decided to opt out.
Saif denies being a part of 'Love Aaj Kal 2'
Interestingly, there were reports that Saif would also be a part of Love Aaj Kal 2. He was said to be playing the role of Sara's father in the movie. The reports suggested Saif's character was supposed to play an important role in Kartik and Sara's love story in the movie. But Saif vehemently denied the reports and said, "It's not true at all".
Sara is keen to work with Saif, but has conditions
Meanwhile, Sara is keen to share the screen space with Saif. The father and daughter are looking for an apt script. "I'd love to do a film with Abba. But, the film and our characters must justify our presence. We can't do a film for doing's sake," she stated. Given their chemistry on KWK6, it will be a delight to watch Saif-Sara together onscreen.
