Mrs. is a Hindi remake of the critically acclaimed Malayalam film The Great Indian Kitchen, which was celebrated for its poignant portrayal of a married woman's journey toward self-discovery against the backdrop of societal expectations. In Mrs., Malhotra's character addresses the theme of breaking free from entrenched patriarchal norms and the constraints that have been placed upon her. The movie explores how a woman strives to strike the right equilibrium between domestic responsibilities and achieving her aspirations.

Earlier this year, Malhotra was honored with the Best Actress award at NYIFF for her compelling portrayal of a woman navigating the complex dynamics of marriage and self-identity in Mrs. Meanwhile, apart from Mrs., Malhotra has several exciting upcoming projects. She is set to star in Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari and Thug Life. Additionally, she is working on an untitled film with acclaimed filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, where she will share the screen with Bobby Deol.
