'Sanju' has been jointly produced by Vinod Chopra Films and Rajkumar Hirani Films. It is imperative to note that Hirani went all out with 'Sanju'. The film had released on 4,000 screens across the country, which is the second highest screen-count of 2018 after 'Race 3'. Overseas, the film was released on 1,300 plus screens.

The last few years were not particularly good for the Kapoor lad as his movies failed to live up to the expectations. Therefore, 'Sanju' was akin to an acid test for him and he has come out with flying colors. The film did not only earn him his career-best reviews but has also set the box office on fire.
Collections aside, Raju Hirani did a disservice to this nation
Though 'Sanju' managed to rake in a lot of moolah, this is certainly not the most honest portrayal of Dutt. While blaming Dutt's sins on destiny, women, drugs and media, Hirani did a disservice to this nation. It was an attempt to white-wash Dutt's image, and Hirani did manage to achieve that, while making a lot of money. Everyone won, except the 'gullible' public.
