Salman Khan to romance Priyanka Chopra in Bhansali's next directorial?
Salman Khan's fans are elated, now that he's collaborating with Sanjay Leela Bhansali again. The Sultan actor will be reuniting with Bhansali 19 years after their last release, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. Ever since the news got confirmed, there were speculations about the female lead. Now, as per recent buzz, Salman will romance Priyanka Chopra in the movie. Here's more.
Priyanka is 'already talking to' Bhansali, Vishal Bhardwaj
Reports of Salman romancing Priyanka surfaced after the Bajirao Mastani actress dropped hints about being in talks with Bhansali for a movie. This happened during her recent appearance on Koffee With Karan 6, when Karan Johar questioned her about which director among Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Vishal Bhardwaj she would like to work with. To this, she replied, "I am already talking to both".
Priyanka last appeared in Bhansali's 2015 release 'Bajirao Mastani'
Although no official confirmation has been made in this regard, if the reports turn out to be true, it'll be Priyanka's second collaboration with Bhansali, after she appeared in Kashibai's role in Bajirao Mastani (2015). Meanwhile, Priyanka and her Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, and Salaam-E-Ishq co-star Salman would be reuniting after a decade.
'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam magic was missed for 19-years'
Salman and Bhansali are coming together for a love story, which is expected to hit the floors soon. "The magic of Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam was missed by fans for 19 years and left them waiting for the director-actor to reunite. SLB and Salman Khan come together in a love story," read the statement. Salman previously did a cameo in Bhansali's Saawariya (2007).
Priyanka was replaced by Katrina Kaif in Salman's next 'Bharat'
Currently, Salman is busy working on his first release of the year, Bharat, also his home production, which is slated to release on Eid this year. Earlier, Priyanka was supposed to be a part of this film. However, she walked out of the movie owing to her engagement with Nick Jonas. She was later replaced by Katrina Kaif.
