'Double iSmart' marks Sanjay Dutt's Telugu debut
Double iSmart is notable for marking the Telugu debut of Sanjay Dutt, who plays the main antagonist named Big Bull. The success of Double iSmart is anticipated based on the popularity of its predecessor, iSmart Shankar, which was released in 2019. Both Pothineni and director Jagannadh are seeking a box office hit following their recent unsuccessful films - Skanda and Liger, respectively. The film is set to release on August 15, in Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, and Tamil languages.
Multiple movies are slated to release on August 15
In addition to Double iSmart, other South Indian films slated for release on Independence Day include Thangalaan, Raghuthatha, and Mr Bachchan. These films will provide competition for Double iSmart at the box office. In the North Indian market, Stree 2, Vedaa, and Khel Khel Mein will be released on Independence Day.
