Dutt to pen autobiography: Will we get honesty this time?
Actor Sanjay Dutt will come out with his autobiography next year in which he will reveal many interesting stories that he "never had the chance to tell before". The memoir will be published by HarperCollins on his 60th birthday on July 29, 2019. The autobiography is billed as "perhaps the biggest, most dramatic, and honest star memoir to emerge out of Bollywood". Here's more.
Had the fortune of living a remarkable life, says Sanju
Commenting on the book, Dutt said, "I have had the fortune of living a remarkable life, full of ups and downs. There are so many interesting stories to tell that I've never had the chance to tell before." "He's a star like no other! This is a memoir that is going to be told from the heart," said HarperCollins India Publisher (Literary), Udayan Mitra.
Previously written biography on Dutt was not authorized
In another production of Sanjay Dutt's life, author Yasser Usman has written a biography on the "Munna Bhai MBBS" actor, which, however, might face legal action as Dutt says he has not authorized the book.
Only time will tell
With Sanjay Dutt becoming the focus of esteemed directors like Raju Hirani and publishers like HarperCollins, it is yet to be seen if his autobiography will portray any "honesty". His biopic "Sanju", which was released last month and has already amassed over Rs. 250 crore at the box office, is a brilliant cock and bull story and blatant whitewashing.
