Sandeep Reddy Vanga responds to Adil Hussain's 'Kabir Singh' criticism
Sandeep Reddy Vanga is at it again. On Thursday, the director lashed out at actor Adil Hussain's recent expression of regret over his role in the 2019 film Kabir Singh, directed by Reddy Vanga. Hussain had said that he regrets being a part of KS due to its promotion of misogyny. Responding to Hussain, Reddy Vanga took a dig at his association with art films, further adding that he would replace Hussain with "AI."
'I regret casting you'
Reddy Vanga—known for frequently responding to those who critique him—wrote, "Ur 'belief' in 30 art films didn't get as much fame to u as ur 'regret' of 1 BLOCKBUSTER film did." "I regret casting u, knwing that ur greed is bigger than ur passion. NOW I'll save U from the shame by replacing Ur face with AI help (accompanied by thumbs up emoji) Now smile properly (accompanied by a smile emoji)."

This is what Hussain had said about 'KS'
Hussain said during AP Podcast, "That's the only film in my life that I have done without reading the script, without seeing the movie on which it is based." "I think a film like this, it celebrates something which is not beneficial for society. It legitimizes male misogyny." "It legitimizes violence against anybody for that matter, doesn't have to be a woman. And it celebrates it, it glorifies it and it should not be glorified."
He walked out of the theater in merely 20 minutes
Talking about how he joined KS despite initial reservations, he said, "I told my manager, ask them a lot of money and they will say no but they agreed so I went and did it and I liked the scene." "When I [watched] the film...I thought what am I doing here? You have no idea how I felt. I felt so embarrassed." He recalled walking out of the theater in 20 minutes.
Meanwhile, here's more about 'KS'
Kabir Singh is the Hindi adaptation of the Telugu film Arjun Reddy, also directed by Reddy Vanga. The former starred Shahid Kapoor, Kiara Advani, Suresh Oberoi, and Arjan Bajwa, among others. Hussain essayed the role of a medical college dean in the movie. The film remains Kapoor's most successful project to this day and was bolstered greatly by its memorable music.
