Irani began her acting career with a cameo appearance in the Aamir Khan-starrer Fanaa. She made her television debut in 2007 with Left Right Left, followed by her role in Miley Jab Hum Tum. Irani met her husband, television actor Mohit Sehgal while working on this show. The couple got married in 2016 and were the second runners-up on the dance reality show Nach Baliye 8 in 2017.
