Trending success
'Sanam Teri Kasam' joins trend of successful re-releases
Sanam Teri Kasam's success comes on the heels of a recent trend of Bollywood films like Laila Majnu and Tumbbad, which have also enjoyed successful second runs after failing to perform in their initial releases.
The film's phenomenal numbers are probably a result of its humongous popularity on OTT and television.
Hollywood success
'Interstellar' also shines in Indian box office re-release
The Hollywood movie Interstellar is also expected to have a strong opening weekend in India after its re-release.
The film earned ₹2.40cr on its opening day, and on the second day, it saw a remarkable jump of around 40%, grossing ₹3.25cr.
In just two days of its re-release, Interstellar has already raked in ₹5.65cr in India, proving that the trend of successful film re-releases isn't limited to Bollywood alone.
