Salman Khan to star with Aayush Sharma in 'Antim'
Salman Khan has been roped in to play the role of a Sikh cop in Mahesh Manjrekar-directorial Antim, co-starring Aayush Sharma. The film is slated to go on floors this November, and will be shot across locations in Mumbai and Karjat. Reportedly, a remake of the Marathi film Mulshi Pattern, Antim is touted to be an ambitious action drama. Here are more details.
It focuses on the story of a gangster and cop
Interestingly, Manjrekar had himself acted in the original Marathi film. In brief, it is a story focusing on the face-off between a gangster and a cop. A majority of the shoot is set in a village that will be recreated in the studio, and filming will go on until January. Antim will be released in five languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Oriya.
Not a cameo, Salman's role is pivotal to the movie
A source revealed to Mumbai Mirror, "After a six month break which he spent on the (Panvel) farm, Salman is raring to get back on the sets and do what he does best." Initially, the script had Salman in a cameo but now his role is pivotal to the narrative. After holding discussions, the team "has locked a version which can justify Salman's presence."
Salman, Aayush will also collaborate on 'Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali'
For the unversed, Aayush, who is Salman's brother-in-law, was last seen in 2018 Bollywood movie Loveyatri. Interestingly, apart from Antim, the duo will also reportedly collaborate on Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali, directed by Farhad Samji.
Salman also has 'Radhe' and 'Kick 2' in the pipeline
Salman recently wrapped up the shooting for Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai, directed by Prabhu Deva and co-starring Disha Patani, Randeep Hooda and Jackie Shroff. After completing Antim, Salman will reportedly start working on the third installment of the Tiger franchise in February. That apart, the superstar also has Kick 2 in the pipeline.
