Salman's 'Dabangg 3' to clash with Ranbir's 'Brahmastra' this year?
Salman Khan is gearing up for his biggest release of the year Bharat on Eid. But this will not be Bhaijaan's only release in 2019. According to the media reports, Salman will also be coming up with the much-awaited Dabangg 3 too. Reportedly, Dabangg 3 will be releasing on Christmas and will witness a box office clash with Ranbir Kapoor's Brahmastra. Here's more.
'Dabangg 3' to hit the floors in April
Dabangg 3 will be hitting the floors in April 2019 and will be helmed by Prabhudeva. "Initially, Bhai thought of starting Chulbul Pandey's third outing last September, while Bharat is also under production. But, since that film spans across many decades and consequently see him sporting different looks, he eventually decided to complete it before beginning Dabangg 3," a source was quoted as saying.
'Brahmastra' eyeing a Christmas release
Interestingly, Ayan Mukerji's directorial Brahmastra, which will have three parts, will release its first installment on Christmas this year. While Ranbir has worked with Ayan earlier in Wake Up Sid and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, this will be Alia's first collaboration with the director. Apart from Ranbir and Alia, Brahmastra also stars legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan and Mouni Roy in key roles.
Notably, 'Brahmastra' has been postponed before
To recall, Brahmastra was, earlier, scheduled to release on August 15 this year. However, the makers pushed the release to Christmas. Producer Karan Johar had shared the first poster of the movie as he announced its Christmas release. Reportedly, Brahmastra was postponed to avoid the box office clash with Akshay Kumar's Mission Mangal which will be hitting the screens on Independence Day.
This is second time Salman and Ranbir's movies will clash
Interestingly, this will be the second time Salman and Ranbir will be clashing at the box office. Earlier, they had a face-off when Salman's God Tussi Great Ho and Ranbir's Bachna Ae Haseeno released on the same day in 2008. While Bachna Ae Haseeno opened to mixed reviews, God Tussi Great Ho tanked at the box office. We wonder if Ranbir will be able to beat Salman again.
