Salman Khan to start shooting Chiranjeevi's 'Godfather' from March 12?
Salman Khan will start shooting for his cameo appearance in Chiranjeevi's Godfather soon. Reports suggest that Khan will join the film's sets on March 12, this Saturday. The shooting is scheduled to take place at ND Studios in Karjat, which is owned by Nitin Chandrakant Desai and Reliance Entertainment. To recall, Khan's appearance was confirmed by Godfather's music composer S Thaman last November.
Here's what we know of the shooting plan
Khan was supposed to start shooting for Godfather in January but Chiranjeevi tested COVID-19+, pushing the shooting plan. Soon after, he chose to finish his portions for Tiger 3, slated to hit theaters on April 21, 2023. Now that Tiger 3 shooting is over, Khan will hit the Godfather sets and wrap up his action shots and a few dramatic sequences within a week.
What else do we know of 'Godfather'?
Chiranjeevi will also reportedly reach Mumbai soon and station himself at Khan's farmhouse in Panvel, which is almost 20kms from the shooting spot. After Godfather, Khan will hop onto Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali, which will hit theaters on December 30 this year. To note, Godfather is the Telugu remake of the Malayalam film Lucifer, starring Mohanlal. Lucifer is the directorial debut of Prithviraj Sukumaran.
Chiranjeevi's next film is 'Acharya'
Meanwhile, Chiranjeevi will next be seen in the action film Acharya. The Koratala Siva directorial has Kajal Aggarwal as the leading lady and his romantic interest, while Ram Charan and Pooja Hegde will be seen playing extended cameos. This is Siva and Chiranjeevi's first collaboration. After facing several postponements due to COVID-19, the film is finally releasing on the big screens on April 29.

Besides Acharya and Godfather, Chiranjeevi has Bholaa Shankar and a film with director Bobby, tentatively titled Mega 154. Recently Shruti Haasan joined the cast of Mega 154 and she thanked Chiranjeevi on social media for "the wonderful welcome." On the other hand, Khan has No Entry 2, Pawan Putra Bhaijaan, and Dabangg 4, apart from Tiger 3 and Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali.
