#BhaiThings: Salman Khan snatches journalist's phone, latter files complaint
Stars being photographed without their consent is not something new. Excited fans skip less than a heartbeat to take out their phones to click pictures whenever they see a star. But for a journalist identified as Ashok Shyamlal Pandey, this practice turned sour when superstar Salman Khan snatched his phone. Miffed with Salman's actions, Pandey filed a complaint against him. Here's what went down.
Salman was headed towards Yash Raj Studios when incident happened
On Wednesday, Salman was on his way to Yash Raj Studios to shoot a few promotional videos for his upcoming movie Bharat. Salman decided to cycle to the studios while his security team followed him. On Linking Road, Pandey tried to shoot his video. But the actor didn't want him to and ended up snatching his phone.
Complaint and counter-complaint have been registered
Subsequently, Pandey lodged a complaint against Salman at Mumbai's DN Nagar Police Station. Later, his security staff filed a counter-complaint alleging that Pandey tried to film the actor without his permission. But Pandey maintained he took permission and accused his bodyguards of misbehavior.
Reportedly, Salman asked the men to not click pictures
Notably, Pinkvilla brought to light another side of the story. Quoting an onlooker, the portal claimed Salman was riding his cycle when two men came close to him and started clicking pictures. Salman asked the men to stop doing so, but they didn't listen. One of the men pretended like he had to take out something from car's boot and continued to click pictures.
Salman returned the phone soon, said onlooker
Reportedly, the actions of the men caused a traffic jam too. At this point, Salman took their phones from them, the onlooker said. "But after cycling a little ahead, he gave it to his bodyguards who returned the phone to the man," the person added. Considering Salman has historically shown little respect for law, one wouldn't be surprised if he indeed misbehaved with the fans.
