Gupta, Pal acted under orders from Lawrence Bishnoi, Anmol: Police
Preliminary investigations suggest that Gupta and Pal acted under orders from the incarcerated gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and his younger brother Anmol. "It appears that they wanted to scare the actor and create terror in the environment that would have helped them in extorting money at least from others," an officer explained. The Mumbai Crime Branch plans to question Lawrence, who is currently detained in Sabarmati Central Jail in Gujarat.
Meanwhile, another man arrested for booking car under Bishnoi's name
In a related development, Rohit Tyagi (20) was arrested in Ghaziabad, UP, for booking a car under Lawrence's name from Khan's house to Bandra Police Station. Tyagi has been remanded into the custody of Bandra Police for two days. It has also emerged that Gupta and Pal were paid an advance of ₹1 lakh for the shooting by Anmol and were promised an additional ₹3 lakh upon completion.
