Salman Khan's 'Race 3' emerges the highest opener of 2018
Despite getting mercilessly trolled for its trailer and songs all across the Internet, Salman Khan starrer 'Race 3' has taken the highest opening of 2018. Seems like Bhai is having the last laugh. The action-thriller, on the first day of its release, has raked in Rs. 29.17 crore, thus, surpassing the opening day figures of Tiger Shroff-Disha Patani's 'Baaghi 2'.
'Baaghi 2' had brought in Rs. 25.10 crore on day-one
The Ahmed Khan directorial had a stupendous start of Rs. 25.10 crore at the box office upon its release in March. Besides Tiger and Disha, the film also featured Manoj Bajpayee, Randeep Hooda, Prateik Babbar.

'Race 3', however, failed to become Salman's highest opener
Although 'Race 3' shattered the opening day records of 2018, but the numbers are a little less, as per Salman's standards. His last release, 'Tiger Zinda Hai', had amassed a staggering Rs. 34.10 crore on day one. However, Salman's highest opener remains to be Sooraj Barjatya's 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo' which had brought in Rs. 40.35 on its first Friday.
The film has been unanimously panned by the critics
As has been the case with most of the Salman starrers, the critics have given a thumbs down to the Remo D'Souza directorial as well. But, the day one collection proves that this is clearly not an issue for 'Race 3'. The film also stars Anil Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez, Bobby Deol, Daisy Shah and Saqib Saleem in pivotal roles.
