'For 45 minutes...': Salman recalls near-death experience in turbulent flight
What's the story
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan made his podcast debut recently on his nephew Arhaan Khan's YouTube channel, Dumb Biryani.
During the candid conversation, he recounted a terrifying near-death experience while returning from an award show with actor Sonakshi Sinha, her mother, and his younger brother Sohail Khan.
Their flight faced severe turbulence for over 45 minutes, an ordeal that left most passengers—including the Bharat star—gripped with fear.
Turbulence details
'I looked at the air hostess, and she was praying'
Describing the incident, Khan said, "We were coming back from IIFA Sri Lanka. Everyone was laughing, and suddenly, there was turbulence."
"At first, it seemed normal, but then the noise grew louder and the entire flight went silent... The turbulence continued for 45 minutes."
He also noted that Sohail remained unbothered by the situation and slept through it all.
Khan's fear
'The moment we touched down, everyone suddenly became a stud'
Khan added, "I looked at the air hostess, and she was praying. That's when I thought, Arey baap re! Even the pilots looked tensed, they usually are very chilled."
"Then, the oxygen masks dropped, and I was thinking, 'I've only seen this happen in films!' After 45 minutes...everyone went back to normal... But suddenly, the turbulence started again."
"From that moment until we landed nobody said a word., but the moment we touched down everyone became a stud."
