'Bigg Boss 18' theme revealed! Salman Khan shoots promo
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan recently filmed a promotional video for the upcoming Bigg Boss 18. The shoot took place at Film City in Mumbai on Thursday, where Khan was seen donning a sleek black suit. According to exclusive sources cited by India Today, this season's theme will explore different phases of life: past, present, and future. The show is set to premiere in early October.
'Bigg Boss 18' theme and casting details revealed
The insider revealed, "The theme of Bigg Boss 18 will revolve around the past, present, and future. Salman had a fun time shooting with the team." "In the promo...fans will see him talk about these timelines. This would also be encapsulated further in the design of the house and the alteration in the format."
'BB18' will not feature former contestants
Despite the theme revolving around past, present, and future, sources have confirmed that former contestants will not be returning. This decision comes as casting for new participants is still in progress. Last season's format was 'Dil, Dimaag, and Dum,' which involved dividing contestants into specific groups. Meanwhile, TV actors Zaan Khan (Kyun Utthe Dil Chhod Aaye), Anjali Anand (Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala), Chahat Pandey (Mere Sai), Splitsvilla fame Kashish Kapoor are rumored to be part of this season's lineup.
Khan's return as host for 'Bigg Boss 18' confirmed
Despite rumors about Khan's return after Anil Kapoor replaced him on Bigg Boss OTT 3, the recent promo shoot has confirmed that he will be back as the host. Khan has been hosting Bigg Boss since its fourth season, following Arshad Warsi, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, and Amitabh Bachchan who hosted the first three seasons respectively. The actor also replaced Karan Johar in the second season of Bigg Boss OTT.
Khan's health concerns and upcoming projects
Recent rumors suggested that Khan might step down from hosting Bigg Boss 18 due to health issues. These speculations were fueled by a video showing Khan struggling to get up from a chair at a Mumbai event, visibly holding his right side in discomfort. However, with the latest promo shoot, these rumors have been put to rest. On the work front, he was last seen in Tiger 3 and will next be seen in Sajid Nadiadwala's action-thriller Sikandar.
