    What's the story

Actor Salman Khan appeared in a Jodhpur court on Thursday (January 4) for hearing in the blackbuck and chinkara poaching cases. While he was in the Rajasthan, gangster Lawrence Bishnoi of Rajasthan, issued a death threat to Salman, saying he would be killed in Jodhpur.

Interestingly, Salman has no connection with Bishnoi; apparently, he wants to kill him to teach Jodhpur Police a lesson.

    Who is Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi?

Lawrence is a notorious gangster, who was brought from Faridkot jail in Punjab to Jodhpur court on Friday. He has been charged in over 20 cases. Most recently, he is accused of murdering a businessman named Vasudev Israni.

While talking to reporters, Lawrence issued the threat to kill Salman.

However, highly placed sources in the Jodhpur police maintained that there was nothing to worry.

But, why does he want to kill Salman Khan?

Salman Khan's poaching case was brought up by Bishnoi community in Jodhpur. Since then, the community considers the Bollywood actor a "villain" and is against him. Lawrence belongs to the same community.

Notably, this is not the first time Salman has received death threats. Last year, the actor reportedly had gotten threats over the phone from an anonymous caller.

    Stay safe, Bhai!
