Salman Khan responds to ailing 'Veergati' co-star Pooja Dadwal's plea

Salman Khan has once again proved that he is as generous as one can get. The superstar has come to the rescue of his former co-star Pooja Dadwal who had pleaded for help. Pooja has been suffering from acute tuberculosis and had sought financial help from Bhaijaan a few days back. She starred opposite Atul Agnihotri in Salman starrer 'Veergati' which released in 1995.

"I was not aware that Pooja is going through a rough financial patch. My team has reached out to her and will make sure that she recovers completely," Salman said.

Tough times for the former actress
Media reports have it that Pooja's husband and in-laws abandoned her after getting to know of her illness. "I tried to contact Salman for help, but nothing has been done so far. If he looks at my video then maybe he will try to help. I have no money at all, I depend on others for even a cup of tea," she had earlier said.
