Injured but unstoppable Salman Khan shoots action sequences for 'Sikandar'
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has started shooting for his upcoming action film, Sikandar, in Mumbai on Monday. The film is being directed by AR Murugadoss and backed by Sajid Nadiadwala and features a massive set replicating the Dharavi slum in Goregaon. Despite suffering from a rib injury, Khan is reportedly filming intense action sequences at the SRPF Ground in Goregaon and a hospital in Marol.

According to a report by Mid-Day, Khan's shooting schedule for Sikandar has been adjusted to accommodate his recovery from the rib injury. The production team is reportedly focusing on lighter action scenes during his working hours and using body doubles for more demanding stunts. This approach ensures that the actor's health is prioritized while maintaining the high production value of the film.
In first schedule, Khan filmed a fight scene: Report
In the first schedule, Khan reportedly filmed a fight scene with the villain's son on a private chartered plane, with the antagonist played by Sathyaraj, known for his role as Kattappa in Baahubali. It is reported that Khan is collaborating with the action directors from the Hollywood film Mission Impossible, starring Tom Cruise. In the upcoming schedule, Khan is expected to shoot three more action sequences, including an aerial scene.
'Sikandar' features an ensemble cast
Sikandar stars Rashmika Mandanna alongside Khan. The film also features Prateik Babbar and Sathyaraj in key roles. Pinkvilla previously reported that Khan's character features elements of arrogance, embodying the essence of a Sikandar with a royal background and exhibiting traits of anger and arrogance. It was also mentioned that Khan's last portrayal of a 'bad boy' in a subplot of Sultan was well-received by fans. It is scheduled for an Eid 2025 release.
