Saina Nehwal backs Shraddha Kapoor for her biopic
Shraddha Kapoor has been prepping up for her role in the biopic of Indian shuttler Saina Nehwal for a while now. The actress is making sure that she portrays the London Olympic bronze medallist aptly on the big screen. Saina herself is quite excited about the project and is looking forward to it eagerly. Putting her confidence in the 'Half Girlfriend' actress, Saina said, "Whenever Shraddha will start shooting, I will definitely watch out some of her sessions to see how it is going. It will be different and challenging." "I am sure the kind of hard work she is putting in, she will give hundred percent and it will come out well," Saina added.
Saina is excited at the prospect of movie popularizing badminton
Saina was present at the felicitation ceremony of Badminton Association of India. "It is a very good thing to see a movie on a sportsperson. It will make sports more popular, inspire more kids to play badminton. I see it this way. Many people know how I am and what I do as I have been playing for the last 10 years," she said.
Amole Gupte will direct the much-awaited sports drama
The yet-to-be-titled biopic will be directed by Amole Gupte, who has previously helmed films like 'Stanley Ka Dabba', 'Hawaa Hawaai' and 'Sniff'. Shraddha is training under Indian team head coach Pullela Gopichand to get her act right.
