'Stupidity': Saif Ali Khan on conspiracy theories about stabbing incident
What's the story
Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan recently spoke about several doubts over his quick recovery from a shocking stabbing incident in January.
Speaking to Delhi Times, he spoke about the extent of his injuries and how he narrowly escaped paralysis or worse.
He also addressed conspiracy theories that he was "acting," calling it "a fair amount of stupidity" on social media.
Injury details
'Close is close. You're either paralyzed or you're not'
Detailing the extent of his injuries, Khan said, "There's 25 stitches here and there's 30 stitches there. If you start with the two slashes on my palm and my arm—they had both not even cut a tendon."
He wondered how his hands and fingers still worked despite the severity of his wounds.
The actor also had "30 most awful scars running down my neck," and couldn't believe his carotid artery and jugular vein were missed.
Public response
Khan addressed conspiracy theories and public reactions
Khan said, "I think it is expected that there will be all kinds of reactions to something like this."
"There will be people ridiculing it. There will be people not believing it and people making fun of it."
"If everyone had a sympathetic reaction to something it would be flat and dull. I expected it then there is no need to react to it."
Despite the disbelief, he stressed he also saw an outpouring of kindness from several people.
