#LoveAajKal2: Saif Ali Khan roped in for Sara-Kartik's romcom?
When Sara Ali Khan shared the kouch with daddy Saif Ali Khan on Koffee With Karan 6, they brought the house down with their unusual camaraderie. And looks like director Imtiaz Ali is planning to cash on this father-daughter chemistry. According to media reports, Imtiaz has roped in Saif for Love Aaj Kal 2 which will have Sara romancing her crush Kartik Aaryan.
From real to reel: Saif to play Sara's father
Love Aaj Kal 2 will be the sequel to Saif's 2009 release Love Aaj Kal. Notably, Saif will be seen playing the role of Sara's father in the Imtiaz Ali-directorial. This will be the first time Saif will be sharing the screen space with his daughter. As per a DNA report, "It's not just a cameo but a full-fledged role for Saif".
Saif to have an important role in Sara-Kartik's love story
Reportedly, Love Aaj Kal 2 will have a similar plot like its first installment, with Saif playing an important role in Sara-Kartik's love story. "Given that it is Love Aaj Kal 2 and the core idea of the plot remains the same. Like Rishi Kapoor in the original, Saif, too, will have a prominent part in Sara and Kartik's relationship," the source told DNA.
Sara-Kartik to make a fresh pair
Sara and Kartik's jodi will come as a fresh breath of air for the cine-goers. Interestingly, the two have become a 'sizzling' pair ever since Sara admitted she had a crush on Kartik during KWK 6. In fact, Ranveer also tried being a matchmaker for them at an event. Besides, during her recent interview with Filmfare, Sara also stated that she finds Kartik cute.
'Love Aaj Kal 2' to hit the floors mid-2019
It will certainly be interesting to watch Sara romancing Kartik on the big screen and we can't wait to see their chemistry. According to the media reports, the movie is likely to hit the screens this year. "Their combination dates also need to be worked out. So once that happens, Imtiaz plans to roll this film sometime around mid-2019," the source added.
