Acclaimed actor Saif Ali Khan and esteemed director Priyadarshan are reportedly in preliminary discussions for a potential thriller project. This news comes as Priyadarshan is simultaneously working on another venture with actor Akshay Kumar. An industry insider told Pinkvilla that the talks with Khan are "in a very nascent stage at the moment." The aim is apparently to start filming by July 2024, with a planned 40-day schedule from start to finish.
Script has already been written; star cast being set
Priyadarshan, known for his mastery in creating thrillers in the Malayalam film industry, is considering an "edge-of-the-seat" thriller with Khan in the lead. The script for this prospective project has already been written. "It's all about getting the star cast and production house in place," shared the industry source. Khan to potentially play a blind man
Khan has reportedly been approached to play a blind man in this thriller and the actor has shown interest in the role. If everything goes as planned, Priyadarshan aims to shoot this project in July and August. Following this, he plans to transition to his fantasy comedy project with Kumar by November. This will mark the first collaboration between the duo in 14 years. The director is also contemplating starting a Malayalam thriller, with more updates expected soon.
