Sai Pallavi to join Sivakarthikeyan in 'Amaran' after 'Ramayana' schedule
The highly-anticipated Tamil film Amaran, starring Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi, is reportedly scheduled for release on September 27. The movie pays tribute to the bravery of Major Mukund Varadarajan who passed away during a search operation in Shopian, Kashmir in 2014. Currently, the climax and other key scenes are being shot with completion expected within the next 20 days. On Sunday, Pinkvilla reported that Pallavi will join the crew after her commitment to Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana.
Pallavi to play Major Varadarajan's wife in 'Amaran'
Per reports, Pallavi has been cast as Major Varadarajan's wife, Indhu Rebecca Varghese, in Amaran. The forthcoming film boasts a robust supporting cast including Bhuvan Arora, Rahul Bose, Lallu, and Hanun Bawra. For now, no official statement regarding the film's storyline has been disclosed. Separately, in Ramayana, she will be essaying the role of Sita while Ranbir Kapoor essays Lord Ram. On Saturday, their first images leaked from the set.
'Amaran' is produced by Kamal Haasan
Amaran is directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, who helmed the 2017 action-crime drama Rangoon, starring Gautham Karthik. It is bankrolled by Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Films International in collaboration with Sony Pictures Films India. The music score is composed by GV Prakash Kumar while the screenplay is adapted from Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh's book India's Most Fearless, which was published in 2017.
The two leads' exciting projects ahead
In addition to Amaran, Pallavi has several exciting projects in the pipeline. She will be seen opposite Naga Chaitanya in Thandel. Thandel marks the second collaboration between the two actors, following their acclaimed performance in Love Story, directed by Sekhar Kammula. Meanwhile, Sivakarthikeyan is busy with his next venture tentatively titled SK23 under the direction of AR Murugadoss and is also set to reprise his role in the sequel of his 2024 sci-fi drama Ayalaan.
