Kalki Koechlin and Ranvir Shorey enter the game too
Sacred Games owes heavily to its set of uber-talented actors.
Apart from Season one's Saif Ali Khan (as Sartaj Singh), Nawazuddin Siddiqui (as Ganesh Gaitonde), and Pankaj Tripathi (Khanna 'Guruji'), the upcoming installment will also feature the ever-consistent Kalki Koechlin and Ranvir Shorey in pivotal roles.
According to reports, Made in Heaven fame Sobhita Dhulipala might also make an important appearance.
'Guruji'
Pankaj Tripathi's 'Guruji' to be the game-changer?
Interestingly, Pankaj Triptathi's mysterious character Khanna Guruji/Gaitonde's third 'father', who was introduced in the first part, can be seen in full glory in the newly-released trailer. The veteran is expected to play a defining part this time.
Talking of the new show, Tripathi has said that, "The scale of the show is huge.. The writing is fantastic and the show will be very interesting."
Plot
In intriguing part-two, Sartaj's quest to save Mumbai is on
In Season 2, Ganesh Gaitonde comes back in a reformed avatar, while Sartaj's desperate quest to save his city is on.
A deeper exploration of Tripathi's Guruji, references of 'war' and 'Hiroshima and Nagasaki', and nastier violence have our adrenaline pumping already.
In part two, the pertinent question is, "Is the world worth saving?"
And the answer is just a month away!
